I read stuff on the Internet; you should, too!

Julia the Writer Girl shares a sweet, heartfelt story about solitude, home, and growing up over on her blog.

Everyone’s reccing this one, but I have to jump on the Colson Whitehead “loser edit” essay bandwagon.

Kameron Hurley offers her tips for creating great book titles.

Modern Hiker has some of the best posts about environmentalism, social engagement, and hiking/mountaineering. I’m loving this piece about Mt. Everest and its trash problem, especially since it gives us non-climbers an outlet to make a difference.

2014 was a rough year for several writers, but Emmie probably had one of the worst stretches – so yesterday’s updates post was a delight to read. Congrats, Emmie!

Other stuff we should’ve read this week? Link it in the comments!
