I adore Lily Pebbles’ blog, and her Wear Life Eats posts offer a glimpse beyond the standard beauty fare she posts. I’m also a fan of Kim’sCurrently” as it acts as a quick snapshot of  broader topics. Consider this an homage to those lovely bloggers.

Reading I am still indecisive. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve been doing some book hauls at my local indie bookstore. This morning’s pic featured my acquisitions from the last month (a couple were from my dad). I did polish off the 2nd Start Here volume, and I’m back into Under the Dome because Scott wants to watch the series. Best get to reading!

Listening I finished Laura Lippman’s After I’m Gone, which was a good character-driven mystery. I expect that from Lippman, so she has to really blow me away to get high praises. AIG was good, but not quite top-tier. I’m listening to The Weight of Blood now, and it gives me a Winter’s Bone vibe.

Watching We just started the TV series Under the Dome last night – so far, plenty of differences from the book, but I’m liking some of the characters just a touch more than I thought I would. Personally, I prefer when the casting surprises you. I’d rather have a relative unknown bring an unexpected nuance to a role than a what-you-see-is-what-you-get “perfect” cast. Then again, I’m an odd bibliophile who doesn’t mind some liberties with book-to-screen adaptations. Quelle horreur, y’all.

Wearing I’m determined to clean out my closets (space is tight, so they’re separated by seasons) after I realized how much junk I’ve accumulated since moving to Phoenix. Our department has moved to more casual wear for the summer, so lots of denim (yay!).

Writing What am I not writing? The novella, a short story, the manuscript…write on!

Blogging I’m really excited that my reading diversity blog post has ballooned into a series. I’m posting Part I this afternoon!

Anticipating Core class, offered four times this week at the gym! It’s challenging for any level, and at only thirty minutes isn’t too much to squeeze in during the evening. I love it because it’s a mini-yoga session and endorphin overload. Even the “bad” classes have ended on a high note for me.

What’s up in your neck of the woods?
