This Week, 07.06.2014

I adore Lily Pebbles’ blog, and her Wear Life Eats posts offer a glimpse beyond the standard beauty fare she posts. I’m also a fan of Kim’sCurrently” as it acts as a quick snapshot of  broader topics. Consider this an homage to those lovely bloggers.

Reading I was a bit indecisive this week, unable to pick which book I wanted to read. Since I went back to NC, I also inherited a few books from my dad (thank you!). I ended up reading Monica Byrne‘s The Girl in the Road, a recent acquisition that you’ll learn more about tomorrow!

Listening Just finished The Interestingswhich I adored. It’s so well written and beautiful. I ached with and for the characters, each and every one of them. It will definitely be a GRT feature! To follow up, I downloaded a few more Audible credits and grabbed a few random short ones from my queue.

Watching Lamesauce, but I discovered ANTM is kind of on Hulu, and it’s been great to have in the background.

Eating & Drinking After traveling last week and being treated to home-cooked meals and hometown favorites, we were exhausted when we got back this afternoon. Scott picked up takeout from our favorite Thai place, and I’m coping with the Phoenix heat with an Otter Pop and lots of ice-cold water.

Exercising Yesterday I did my first run on the beach, which was amazing and exhilarating and perfect.

Wearing A lot more J. Crew than I have been.

Writing Not a whole lot since I was on vacation last week. Let’s see what happens, shall we?

Blogging A bunch of writing/books posts and maybe a litPhoenix post?

Anticipating My weekly trip to Changing Hands! Because I need more books, obviously.

What’s up in your neck of the woods?
